Our son, Benjamin, was born the 17th of july, almost 6 weeks (5 weeks and 4 days) too early ... . A perfect pregnancy without any complications, so you guys and girl(s) can imagine it was a HUGE surprise the little rascal decided to come that early

The delivery went perfect. For some babies 5,5 weeks premature there is no problem, but Benjamin suffered from a very common premature lung defficiency, nothing serious but nevertheless enough reason to transport him to a university hospital the night he was born so they could intervene fast when something went really wrong. Luckaly all went well ... .
I'm not going to bother you guys with the complete story, but tests showed our little boy didn't suffer any oxygen loss and his brain echo's were okido, his lungs recovered perfectly without operation and he eats like a horse

Last wednesday the pediatrician told us that if he was doing well by the end of the week he could come home with us. And the strong little guy did fine, and he's with his mom and dad as we speak! No more daily visits to the hospital, and no more saying 'untill tommorow' to your son, which was VERY hard for my wife ... .
So, all well that ends well!
