Google Hangouts

Post by JohnM » Sat May 23, 2015 3:47 pm

Does anyone want to try a Google Handout with me?

Up to 10 of us can be on camera at once in a Google Handout. At the same time an unlimited number of people can watch the live stream and chat on Youtube. The video chat can be archived afterwards on youtube or deleted.

It is fun to do. You need a webcam and a microphone on your desktop computer or if you join with a smart phone or tablet you should be all set. If you join using your smart phone or tablet you will have to download a free app from the app store. You may need a gmail account but I am not sure of that.

If you are shy about being seen on cam, you can use an avatar, and you can switch back and forth from avatar to live cam.

It is really cool and would be a good way to share magic, our latest project and best finds.

I would like to try this Sunday, May 24th at 12 noon, EST.

Please post here if you are interested in joining me.

Fabulous "chin wag," just TOO COOL!

Great to see both of you showing the collections.

Insightful, and educational for me.

Many thanks, John and Simon.
and now, on with the show ...

Count me in! Just watched the whole video and nearly exploded seeing all those +1 tricks. I just moved to Texas, so once we get set up (as well as a little corner for my Tenyo collection to go), I'd love to jump on in.

Completely amazed by all the Tenyo (and monetarily expensive Tenyo) you guys own.

And great to see the 'edit', 'delete', etc. buttons back from the land of ghosts
Where's my colon?!

David asked a question in a Youtube comment about a Tenyo "sign" I showed in the hangout video. I think he was referring to the Tenyo bag tag that was attached to my Tenyo Case.

On the back of it is inscribed my name, address ans phone in case (god forbid) I lose my Tenyo case.

That personalized item is made by no other then the famous Jenzo Harmonics fellow (aka SimonC). I highly recommend it.

He also make a rather nice teak wood medallion with Ty (the Tenyo Rabbit). I recommend that was well.

Here are the items I spoke about above.

I was also the winner of the first pewter hare when I received the golden ticket in one of the tricks I bought.

Cheers for the plug john ;)
I noticed another comment on the video too, I know know who Potatoman is but I think he REALLY likes tenyo ;)
Looking forward to the next hangout, I have a sneak peek of my latest effect I'm itching to show :)
