Pencil for Occult Board
Hello Guys,
I am looking for a replacement pencil for Occult Board. I have tried the kind of white pencil that is used for sewing (to mark the fabric), but it is too hard and does not leave a mark on plastic. Do you have any suggestions what kind of pencil I should look for?
Thanks,
Botond

Re: Pencil for Occult Board
Maybe I should look for a crayon as the one supplied for the mystic blackboard trick?

Botond...so far I know it is a Glass Marking Pencil. As it said it can be used for writing on smooth surface like glass or plastic.
Check this out:

it is quite easy to find in stationary shop in my country and it is cheap. It came also in various colors. Yes the mystic blackboard use also the similar pencil or I would say "crayon" in form of a pencil. Good luck...hope you will find it.

It's called a "China Marker" and can be found here:

Ah yes wascokrijtjes! These would do the job!
I actually prefer my cheap occult board where you can use a wipe away pen if you know what I mean.
Wasco is very sticky, makes the board a mess actually

I looked for a these a few years back the best made brand that writes well is made by Sharpie. You can see them on ebay but will have to search to get ones that won't cost too much to ship to you. I got a box of 12 they work very well.

I also got a refillable one that is known as a Listo Pen which is the brand name. They have been around 50 years or more I sent one to John with a box of 72 refills figured that would last a while.
It is short and you don't have to peel it just turn the knob on top. Also says it is retractable but I don't retract it not necessary and doesn't work that well in 110 degrees here. Much more professional looking to use. Here is the cheapest I have ever found them. A whole $1.61 comes with white refill so it is good to go but you will need a box of refills they come in box of 72.

You can see the refills on the link below.

So if you want those you need to find a way to get them shipped to you cheap enough or find them locally which you might be able to do it is very popular pen plus you can change it to many different colors if you want to but suggest to get separate ones for each color as they will have residue in them and going from a dark color to white might not work out so well.
That is what I have and used for 5 decades for many things.

Re: Pencil for Occult Board
That's why they're called "grease pencils" as well as "China Markers."
It's a pity Tenyo doesn't put out a new version of Hen Fetsch's "Mental Epic" using a dry erase board and dry erase markers. One of the problems with that, however, is that laymen know full well you can erase something with your finger, or by wiping anything across it.
