Hello from Hong Kong.
Hello from Hong Kong.
I am Wilson who stay in HK. I have collected Tenyo tricks since 2013. So, I am just only an amateur collector.
My favourite tenyo is prison box and I am a fan of ingenious mechanism of little toys.
I hope to explore more from Tenyo!

Welcome Wilson! You'll find it very interesting here I'm a fan of the mechanisms too, do you own Mystery China Box? I nearly fell off my chair when I first saw that one working!

Welcome to the forum. I've also a Tenyo rookie, but since 2014. However, it's easy to make up for the lost time. At least knowledge wise. Budget wise is subjective .
What Tenyo are you going after next?

Where's my colon?!
Re: Hello from Hong Kong.
I do own a Mystery China Box. It is one of the Tenyo's best. I am planning to get Confined cubes as this really amazed me. I still do not have any clue on how the two cubes change places.

Re: Hello from Hong Kong.
Hello Wilson, welcome! Your name indicates you are not a real Chinese citizen? Sounds more English to me!
Yes clever mechanisms is what we like here, I plan to make clever tricks with complicated mechanisms from Lego!
But on the other hand, clever thoughts and ideas are maybe even better! Think of Bare Bones, don't you think Tenyo got its inspiration for that from the well known dice tunnel?

Rob,
Wilson is just my English name. In fact, hung is my real Chinese surname.
I do not own dice tunnel. And I cannot compare it with bare bones.

Re: Hello from Hong Kong.
My neighbours are from China (I live in the UK) and they also have an English name and a Chinese name. Could you pleas choose me a Chinese name and I will use it if I ever visit China (which I would love to do)

Hi Wilson
Welcome to this great forum.
I always try to fly through Hong Kong and have a stop over when I go back to the UK.
The food in Hong Kong is the best in the world in my opinion "big call"
Perhaps you can tell me where the best magic shops are.
I think my Chinese name would be Chin Tu Fat

Simon from Aus (but English)
Re: Hello from Hong Kong.
SimonC,
Chan can be your Chinese name as this is a typical one.
Simon Layland,
I recommend you to go to Magicbox in Mong Kok when you visit in HK. They sell only the geniuNe product and won't sell the fakes in China like most of the magic shop in HK. They also sell Tenyo products but they are usually the Japansese version.
