Has anyone heard of Svetnashki?
Recently I purchased a sliding puzzle called Svetnashki. The effect can be seen on this video I made:

Does anybody knows this effect? It reminds me very much of Tenyo's Fantastica.
Would it be possible to make a magic trick out of this by removing the square pieces/background?
More info is to be found at:

It says it uses polarized filters.

Re: Has anyone heard of Svetnashki?
Perhaps use it to reveal a card? But that would need the polarized plates to be pieces of a card when all in place reveals a complete card ... not exactly easy if you ask me
And it has been done before more or less with Masuda's WOW.

Maybe you're right David, it's difficult to transform this into a magic trick. In the meantime I have a lot of fun playing with it!

Re: Has anyone heard of Svetnashki?
you could use the material to make an apparition appear on a b&w photo. this ones my favourite..
(you could also have a ghost holding a force card)

The old Nintendo eklectronic games used these lenses. My old science teacher opened one up and showed it. There are two see-through plates if aligned criss-cross become black.
Do take in mind 'working' old Nintendo games tend to sell for quite high prices on Ebay Here you can buy some of them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-LOTS-OLD-Gam ... 461824c26d
