| 1) |
Produce fine powder out of dried henna
leaves. If leaves aren't available they can be found at the market. |
| 2) |
Add a little bit of eucalyptus oil and lemon
juice into the henna powder. Let the mixture soak for about 2 hours. |
| 3) |
Henna could be applied with a small stick
which is either sandal wood or ivory. Another more common way is through
a cone. To make a cone put the henna mixture into a plastic sandwich
bag. Then tie the end and squeeze the mixture to one corner. With a
pair of scissors cut a very small opening in the corner of the bag. |
| 4) |
To apply the henna, squeeze the cone steadily and
move the cone to create a design. |
| 5) |
Have a bowl of sugar and lemon juice to the
side. Once the henna is on for about 15 minutes, damp the mixture onto
the area of henna with a cotton ball. This is so the henna won't dry and
fall off before the color appears. |
| 6) |
After 4-5 hours, gently scrap the henna off
and apply coconut oil on top. An orange color will appear in the shape
of the design. To make it turn to a beautiful deep red color, don't
allow the area of henna to come in contact with water for about 12
hours. |
